I won’t ever call you stupid for not using protection. I know that in Mexico talking about things like sex are strictly off topic because everyone thinks if you talk about it you’re having sex before marriage which is completely against the catholic church. I know you were never taught anything about sex ed. I think it’s a big problem that you weren’t taught sex ed in Mexico but they now teach it in schools so that’s a great change.
You were young when you got pregnant. You decided to have me even though you had dropped out of high school and were not married. I respect you for having me. I would have respected you no matter what your choice would have been. If you would have gotten an abortion or gave me up for foster care then I would have to learn to be alright with that choice because you must have had a reason to make that decision.
Do you regret keeping me? Do you think it would have been easier to have just gave me up for foster care or had an abortion. I’ll never have the guts to ask you to your face but I do wonder at times. I can’t even imagine what I would have done if I would become pregnant at a young age. I’d really have to consider all the opinions and see which would be best for me in that situation.
